The Definite Article

The definite article “the” declines like a standard 2-1-2 adjective. The only oddities are:

  1. The base used for the feminine and masculine nominative singular and plural is ἁ/ (feminine) or ὁ/ (masculine). Otherwise the base is τά/ (feminine) and τό/ (masculine and neuter).
  2. The masculine nominative singular is marked by nothing.
  3. The neuter nominative and accusative singular marker is nothing despite the base ending in -ο/. This is true of all pronouns.

Otherwise the definite article declines as expected.
